Best AI stocks to buy now | The Three Stocks Set to Win Big in the AI Era

The best way to find great stocks before everyone else is to understand a company’s products, not just their profits. Huge growth happens when a company has the perfect product for a quickly growing market. Nvidia is making millionaires as its data center chips power the entire AI revolution. Palantir is making shareholders rich as its software platforms bring AI to huge enterprises and governments.

In this article, I’ll highlight three more stocks set to win big thanks to generative AI that no one else is talking about.

Why Finding Hidden Winners Matters

Finding hidden winners is the best way to get rich without getting lucky. Your time is valuable, so let’s get right into it. Here are the three stocks I’ll cover:

  • Amazon – A leader in almost every area of AI that most investors overlook.
  • Netflix – Set to benefit massively from generative AI for video, while already using AI in some sneaky ways.
  • Fortinet – A cybersecurity company positioned to dominate its market in the AI era.

Amazon and Netflix are the fourth and ninth biggest positions, respectively, in both the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ 100. That means investors who buy index funds already hold these stocks. However, even though they are household names, most people don’t realize just how much of their services leverage AI today. This makes them undervalued as AI stocks—exactly the reason they’re on this list.

Speaking of AI, Nvidia GTC runs from March 17 to March 21, and I’ll be there live. GTC is Nvidia’s massive developer conference focused on the latest AI innovations in every major market, from generative AI in video games to robotics and self-driving cars. I want to bring you as much value as possible from the event, so leave a comment with what you’d like me to cover.

If you register for at least one virtual session using my link, you’ll have a chance to win an Nvidia RTX 4080 Super graphics card. Just register, attend at least one session, take a screenshot, and send it to me after the conference using the links below. I’ll announce the winner a few days later.

Now, let’s dive into the stocks.

Amazon: The AI Powerhouse Hiding in Plain Sight

Even though Amazon is a household name, I believe it’s one of the biggest hidden winners in the AI era. Most people think of Amazon as an online shopping giant, with two-day shipping and Prime Video. But Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the largest cloud service provider in the world, with a market share as big as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud combined.

AWS powers roughly one-third of the internet, in a cloud infrastructure market growing at 23% per year. It’s also Amazon’s most profitable business unit, generating more operating income than its online store and subscription services combined. AWS revenue was $18 billion in 2024 and is projected to hit $125 billion in 2025.

The global cloud computing market is expected to triple in size over the next eight years, growing at a 17.7% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through 2033. AWS could grow even faster as cloud workloads shift from CPUs to GPUs, including Nvidia’s Blackwell chips and Amazon’s Trainium and Inferentia AI chips.

Then there’s Bedrock, Amazon’s portfolio of managed services for generative AI. Companies can use Bedrock to build AI applications, fine-tune models, and even create AI-powered agents.

Amazon’s Secret AI Advantage: Advertising

Most investors also don’t realize that Amazon is the third-largest advertising platform globally, behind Google and Meta. However, Amazon’s ad business is growing faster than Google and Meta combined.

Amazon has a huge advantage here because its users have a high intent to purchase, making them easier to target with ads. That’s why advertising is Amazon’s fastest-growing business, generating $17 billion last quarter with a 34% CAGR over the last five years.

AI is playing a key role in making ads more personal, engaging, and cost-effective. AI-powered advertising revenues are expected to grow 8X over the next eight years, at a 28% CAGR through 2033. Since this market is still relatively small at $11 billion globally, Amazon’s ad business is an underappreciated AI play.

Netflix: AI’s Hidden Streaming Winner

Netflix has quietly risen over 75% in the past year, and I believe it could be one of the biggest beneficiaries of generative AI. Netflix already uses AI in almost everything, from content recommendations to thumbnail selection.

AI in Netflix’s Recommendation System

Netflix uses AI-powered content filtering to recommend shows based on viewing history. That’s why Netflix has those famously specific categories, like:

  • “Gory Foreign Satanic Stories”
  • “Visually Striking Nostalgic Dramas”
  • “Understated Romantic Road Trip Movies”

Netflix also uses collaborative filtering to group users with similar tastes. If enough people in a group like a show, Netflix recommends it to others in that group. If they dislike it, Netflix stops promoting it.

AI in Content Creation

Netflix uses computer vision to select the most visually appealing scenes for thumbnails, which vary by user. AI also helps identify content gaps, guiding Netflix’s production of original content.

Last year, Netflix earned 107 Emmy nominations across 35 titles, with 24 Emmy wins.

Now, generative AI text-to-video models like OpenAI’s Sora, Runway, and LTX Studios can generate high-quality video clips. Netflix could use AI video generators to create personalized content tailored to individual users. If you prefer action scenes, AI could add more. If you like character-driven stories, AI could expand those scenes.

The global AI video generator market is set to triple by 2032, with an 18.5% CAGR. However, I expect even faster growth as AI improves video generation.

Fortinet: The Cybersecurity Stock Poised for AI Growth

Cybersecurity is another underappreciated AI investment opportunity. There are 17 billion connected devices today, expected to exceed 40 billion by 2030. Meanwhile, 70% of successful data breaches and 90% of cyber attacks start at an endpoint—not inside a data center.

That’s where Fortinet (FTNT) comes in. Fortinet has three key business units:

  1. Secure Networking – Generates two-thirds of Fortinet’s revenue, focused on firewalls and intrusion detection with its FortiGate systems.
  2. Unified SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) – Delivers cloud-based security solutions, including firewalls, zero-trust access, and AI-powered threat detection.
  3. Security Operations (SecOps) – Helps organizations detect, respond to, and analyze cyber threats using AI.

Fortinet reported over 80% gross margins in 2024, with earnings per share growing 45% year-over-year. The global cloud security market is expected to quadruple by 2032, with a 22% CAGR.

As AI expands the number of connected devices and cyber threats, cybersecurity solutions like Fortinet will become increasingly essential.

Final Thoughts: AI Will Shape Every Industry

While investors focus on Nvidia, Microsoft, and Palantir, the AI revolution will impact every major industry. Companies like Amazon, Netflix, and Fortinet are using AI to make their services better, cheaper, and more personal.

Because all three dominate high-growth markets—cloud computing, video streaming, and cybersecurity—they don’t even need to gain market share to keep winning big.

These three hidden AI winners are a great way to get rich without getting lucky.
